General Information

SecuFEx is a Primetals service, which helps to transfer files between Primetals employees and their internal and external partner. You may use this service if:

• you are a Primetals employee and are able to use the MFA-Login,
• or you have a SecuFEx temporary account, which can be created and managed by any Primetals employee using the MFA-Login,
• or you have received a file transfer invitation with an account and a password. Please note that such account is valid only during the livespan of the file transfer.

If you are Primetals employee and are working in the Primetals Intranet please use the MFA-Login. If you are external partner or you work outside the Primetals intranet you will need either a file transfer invitation from a Primetals employee or a temporary account. Please contact your partner at Primetals and ask for creation of a temporary account using your email address. When the account is created you will be automatically notified by email and you may use your email and temporary password to login.

Important: SecuFEx has besides the MFA-Login its own user management, i.e. your Windows Logon password or your PCD password will not work here!

Login Methods

You may login on this service by using two different methods:

• Multi Factor Login: This is a Primetals internal login infrastructure, which is provided only to Primetals employees and registered partners, having the Primetals with registered MFA. MFA is a highly secure login authentication and should be preferably used, where possible.
  
  To be able to use the Multi Factor Secure Login you need:
  • a Primetals MFA
  • a Primetals Corporate Directory (PCD) registration with a valid Primetals email address,
  
  Please note, that the MFA-Login is implemented and executed only by the official Primetals Entitlement Server. When you click the MFA-Login button, you will be redirected to the Primetals Entitlement Service to be authenticated there. The Entitlement Server will return an encrypted and signed response, which will be used as your login passport. If you are outside the Primetals Intranet you will not be able to access the Entitlement Server and thus unable to use the MFA-Login.
  
  If you have a Primetals Multi Factor Authentication and have problems to login using it, please check the following conditions:
  • Are you within the Primetals Intranet?
  • Do you have access to the Primetals Entitlement Service?
  • Do you have a valid email address in your PCD registration?
  
  
• Email + Password: If you have a temporary account on this service you may use your email and account password to login. Please note, that some parts of the application are available only with a MFA-Login. For instance, temporary accounts may be managed only with MFA-Login. If you have forgotten your password you may use the password generator to create a new temporary password, which will be sent to your registered email. Temporary accounts, which are valid only for a single file transfer may not use the password generator.
